BENEATH THE SHADE

Beneath each translucent wheel-thrown porcelain shade lies an array of other handmade porcelain components. Nickel-chrome hardware compliments the delicacy and soft matte finish of porcelain finials, socket cups, cylindrical dimmer boxes, and dimmer knobs. The bulbs used in the lighting are from Emery Allen, providing the highest quality LED illumination on the market.  These small LED bulbs work compatibly with the dimmer function, allowing for illumination from 1 percent to 100 percent. Turning each dimmer knob forward and back is an experience in itself. There is a satisfying heaviness and fluidity in the turning of the knobs, as you fine-tune the light level to suit each space, time of day, and mood.
