This grouping of wheel thrown vessels is made from Japanese, Kyushu porcelain. The pieces are fired with copper-red and black tenmoku reduction glazes.

This wheel thrown vessel is made from Japanese, Kyushu porcelain. The piece is fired with a copper-red reduction glaze. The neck of the work broke and was repaired using a traditional Japanese technique applying gold to fill the lines of the rejoined shards. In Japanese the technique is called kintsugi.
